Mr. Alie B. Sesay is a Sierra Leonean lawyer with extensive professional experience in rule of law, human rights, access to justice, peacebuilding and post-conflict recovery programming.
He holds a Bachelor of Art (Sociology and History), Bachelor of Laws (Hons), MSc. in Rural Development and a Masters degree in International Human Rights and Humanitarian Law from the European University Viadrina, Frankfurt (Oder), Germany.
Prior to joining the legal profession, Mr. Sesay worked with Management Systems International and UNDP in Sierra Leone and South Sudan, serving in senior roles focused on rule of law, human rights and youth reintegration. His professional expertise includes legal and social research, programme design and management, results-based management, policy and legal reform, capacity building, advocacy, stakeholder coordination and strategic writing. He has extensive experience supporting initiatives that promote the rights of women and children and strengthen access to justice and accountable institutions.
